Medical Review Officer

In House Medical Review Officers

A Medical Review Officer (MRO) is a licensed physician who can determine whether or not an alternate medical explanation exists for a laboratory confirmed positive, adulterated or invalid drug test result.

The MRO acts as an independent and impartial “gate keeper” and advocate for the accuracy and integrity of the drug testing process. The MRO provides regular quality assurance reviews starting at collection of the specimen, through lab testing, and ending at final release of the result.

Denning Health Group has two in-house Medical Review Officers, Dr. Trevor Wilson and Dr. Joseph Yang. Both Dr. Wilson and Dr. Yang are full-time family practitioners at Nordel Crossing Medical Clinic in addition to their work as Medical Review Officers. Our MROs received their training and certification through the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).

Our Medical Review Officers provide Denning Health Group clients with phone-based consultations regarding drug test results, written reports and in-court testimony.

Our Medical Review Officers also provide independent MRO services to other Third Party Administrators.
